The actor and theater teacher Jamal Eddine Dkhissi died at the age of 63 on Friday, March 24 following a long illness. His students, the likes of Latefa Ahrare and Driss Roukh, have expressed their sadness the death of a master and a father.
Dkhissi died on the morning of Friday, March 24 in a clinic in Rabat. He will be buried Saturday, March 25 in Oudja, the city of his birth.
The world of theater and television is in mourning. Many of the famous actors of the 90s generation taught by Dkhssi, including Driss Roukh, Latefa Ahrare, Bouchra Ahraich and others, have been mourning the death of their professor.
Dkhissi dedicated his life to the art of theatrical interpretation. After studying at the Moscow Academy of theater, he taught interpretation to several actors at the Higher Institute of Drama and Cultural Animation (ISADAC).
Dkhissi’s last public appearance was during a tribute paid to him at the Tangier National Film Festival on February 25.
On March 15 of this year, he won the best actor award at the Meknes TV fiction festival for his role in “La vie innocente”, produced by 2M and directed by Morad Khaoudi.
