Fifteen Algerian movies are on the list of the 4th Film Africa Festival in London, UK, which commemorates, until November 9, the 60th anniversary of the outbreak of Algeria's independence war, the organizers posted on the event's website.
The feature films "Fadhma n'Soumer" (2014), Belkacem Hadjadj and "the Battle of Algiers" (1966), by Italian Gillo Pontecorvo, as well as "Porthole" (2012) Anis Djaad, in competition for the Boabab Awards of Best Short Films, will be screened in the section "Algerian Cinema: Towards a New Wave."
The documentaries "In Silence I feel the Earth Moving" (2010), by Mohamed Lakhdar Tati, "Frantz Fanon: Asylum Memory" (2002), by Abdenour Zahzah, and "Equivocal Chronicles" (2012), by Lamine Amar Khodja, are also scheduled on for the London African festival.
