The Lebanese singer Wael Jassar told Arabstoday that he will record a song in an Arab Gulf accent, which he said he is good at, for the purpose of diversification and which he considers distinctive adding that his new song will be a surprise. Jassar said that his new work will be produced by the Arabica Music Company, which he has been working with for a while now. He will also shoot a new music video in Egypt or Lebanon. He said that he is working on his new album, which will be released soon. He criticised Syrian singer Asala Nasri for comments she made about Lebanon at the international festival of Mawazine which was held in Morocco, saying: “No one has the right to attack Lebanon, and accuse its people of killing. This was the first time I heard that hundreds of Syrians who are against Bashar al-Assad, were being kidnapped and killed in Lebanon. I do not know where she got this information from, as the Arab and Lebanese media do not know of these alleged kidnappings”. He added: “I am on the side of my country and of all Arabs people, and wish the best for the whole nation”.
