Filmmaker and actor Rob Reiner says those who support Donald Trump for president are aiding and abetting racism.
Reiner made the remarks Friday when asked about the timing of his Woody Harrelson-led Lyndon B. Johnson film “LBJ,” which made its debut at the Toronto International Film Festival.
Reiner says the emergence of Trump has led to a resurfacing of racist, hateful feelings in America. He says Trump is giving voice to it and is encouraging it and that’s frightening.
Trump has called for a temporary ban of Muslims from entering the US and talked about building a wall between the US and Mexico.
