Patrick Stewart may appear in Wolverine 3.
The 74-year-old actor said as much in a recent interview with Oregon Live. Stewart confirmed he will not reprise Charles Xavier in X-Men: Apocalypse, but revealed he is in negotiations to star with Hugh Jackman in a Wolverine sequel.
"What I'm very excited about is that we have been talking about a Wolverine movie, which would team Hugh Jackman and myself together," he shared. "Wolverine and Professor Xavier. That would be a very different sort of X-Men from the four movies that I've already done."
Stewart portrayed Xavier in X-Men, X-Men 2, X-Men: The Last Stand and X-Men: Days of Future Past. The actor previously said he and Ian McKellen will not appear in X-Men: Apocalypse, but clarified his friend will indeed reprise Magneto in the interview.
Stewart will play Walter Blunt on new Seth MacFarlane (Family Guy) series Blunt Talk on Starz. The sitcom follows Blunt, a British newscaster, whose private life begins to fall apart after he moves to Los Angeles to host a talk show.
"I've never been involved in a half-hour television comedy, except as a guest," the actor related. "This time, standing at the center of a 20-episode comedy show, is a brand new experience. I've never dipped my toe so significantly into this world, and I'm very excited about it."
Blunt Talk is scheduled to premiere during the 2015-2016 television season. Stewart will also appear with James Roday and Jon Heder in holiday film Stuck, and with Imogen Poots and Anton Yelchin in horror movie Green Room.
