Jessica Chastain has officially joined the cast of The Huntsman, the forthcoming prequel to Snow White and the Huntsman.
The 37-year-old actress will star opposite Chris Hemsworth, as the titular huntsman's love interest.
Specific plot details are still under wraps, but the prequel will focus on the lives of the huntsman and Queen Ravenna, played by Charlize Theron, before they meet Snow White.
Theron will reprise her role as Ravenna, though it is unlikely that Kristen Stewart's Snow White will appear.
Emily Blunt is also said to have signed on to the film as its villain.
Snow White and the Huntsman opened to mixed reviews in 2012. But it topped the box office in its opening weekend with $52 million and went on to gross more than $155 million.
The Huntsman is due in theaters April 2016.
