The owner of music record label Free Music, Nasr Mahrous, has rallied together Egyptian personalities to release a song in response to the recent sectarian violence in Egypt. My Religion Is Your Religion has been written by poet Mohammed Atef, composed by Rami Jamal, and features the voice of Egyptian singer Bahaa Sultan. The track aims to raise the spirits of Egyptian Copts in light of the recent violence in the country. One person was killed and more than 80 wounded when clashes broke out between Muslims and Christians near a Coptic church in el-Khusus north of Cairo, last week. Further clashes were reported near the Coptic Orthodox Cathedral in central Cairo on Sunday after a funeral service for four Egyptian Christians killed in sectarian violence with Muslims.
