The Middle Eastern Music Awards ceremony was recently launched in Cairo amidst a large crowd of Egyptian and Arab representatives from the media. Jordanian singer Diana Karazon was presented with the award for “Best Music Video” in 2011 for the clip for her song “Kazab Alai” (He Lied to Me). The clip was directed by young Jordanian director Jaccob Lambz. Diana attended the event wearing an exquisite black gown designed by Yousif Al Jasmi. When presented with the award, Diana expressed her joy and thanked everyone that contributed to the success of the clip. Diana said, “I present this award to my country Jordan and wish all Jordanian a happy Independence Day.” The song is written by Lebanese poet Anwar Makkawi and composed by Mahmoud Eid, marking their first cooperation.
