Singer-songwriter Carly Rae Jepsen's new album E*MO*TION will be released in the United States Aug. 21, Schoolboy Records/Interscope announced.
Recorded and produced in Los Angeles, New York and Stockholm, the record is the followup to Jepsen's U.S. debut album Kiss, which featured her infectious hit "Call Me Maybe."
"Run Away with Me," a single off of her new album, will be out in July with a video to follow soon. Jepsen is scheduled to perform the song as part of the Today show's summer concert series on NBC on Aug. 21.
"I took my time with this album and wanted to make a pop record that had heart to it. I was lucky enough to work with some of my favorite writers and producers and together we made a collection of songs that I couldn't be more proud of," Jepsen said in a statement Thursday.
