Beyoncé brought down the house with her performance of "Take My Hand, Precious Lord" at the 2015 Grammy Awards.
The 33-year-old recording artist sang the hymn to open John Legend and Common's performance of "Glory" from Selma. Host LL Cool J and actress Gwyneth Paltrow introduced Beyoncé, revealing the song was first sung to the star by mother Tina Knowles.
Beyoncé was nominated for several awards at the ceremony, and walked away with Best Surround Sound Album, Best R&B Song and Best R&B Performance. Kanye West interrupted Beck on stage after Beyoncé lost to the singer-songwriter for Album of the Year, and later confirmed he caused the scene to protest the win.
Beyoncé released her fifth studio album, Beyoncé, in December 2013. The record debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200, and includes the singles "Drunk in Love" and "Pretty Hurts." The singer recently recorded remixes of "Crazy in Love" and "Haunted" for the Fifty Shades of Grey soundtrack.
