Alison Sweeney and Cameron Mathison are to star in a small-screen adaptation of the Hannah Swensen book series for the Hallmark Channel.
No airdate for Chocolate Chip Cookie Murder -- the first installment in the TV movie franchise -- has been announced yet.
Sweeney and Mathison are daytime drama icons; Sweeney starred in Days of Our Lives and Mathison was a longtime cast member of the now-canceled All My Children.
"Based on the New York Times bestselling book Chocolate Chip Cookie Murder by Joanne Fluke, the film will take viewers on a mouthwatering mystery that centers on Hannah Swensen, shop owner of the Cookie Jar where much of the town's gossip percolates along with the strong coffee," a synopsis said. "But when a mysterious murder occurs, Hannah turns into a culinary detective and finds herself trying to solve the crime while getting caught in an unexpected romantic mystery of her own."
