The Russian capital Moscow is set to host a Syrian dialogue involving opposition and governmental members on Monday, to discuss means of ending the current crisis.
Russia had invited over 30 opposition members to participate in the talks, which come two days after the Syrian opposition had held a meeting in Cairo.
Russia will not interfere in the Dialogue, but will only provide the opportunity to resolve the issues. The country's NGOs members will also participate in the event.
The first two days of the dialogue will only involve the opposition members, whereas governmental representatives are set to join in the talks in the third and last day.
Meanwhile, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov had warned that the Syrian opposition could lose its role in resolving the crisis, should its members refuse to attend the Moscow meeting.
Russia will not allow media figures and reporters to attend the event. The hosting country had only invited moderate opposition members, while preventing other representatives of opposition parties such as ISIL and Al-Nusra Front from attending.
