Egypt will host for the first time Big 5 Show - the largest construction event in the Middle East - in September 2017, said the head of the General Organization For International Exhibitions and Fairs(GOIEF).
In statements on Tuesday on the fringe of the current Big 5 Show in Dubai, he said there are 20 Egyptian companies taking part in the event.
He added that a partnership deal was clinched between GOIEF and DMC International - a leading destination management company, with a team of highly professional staff representing over 40 years of combined experience in all aspects of event and convention planning.
Under the deal, GOIEF will have 51 percent and DMC company 49 percent, he said, noting that the partnership fructified into Egypt's hosting of Big 5 Show next year, he expounded.
He added that GOIEF seeks to lure investments and remove obstacles facing investors.
He noted that GOIEF launched an initiative with the private sector to set up a hall at Cairo International Fair Grounds at EGP 200 million investments.
A tender will be held in this regard by the end November, he said, expecting procedures to be finalized in December in order to finalize the project before the Big 5 Show in September 2017.
