Cairo Criminal Court decided to delay the trial of Azza Soliman, activist and head of board of trustees for the Center for Egyptian Women's Legal Assistance (CEWLA) in Cairo, to December 12.
The delay comes after a request from her defense team.
Soliman is accused of receiving 50 million pounds in illegal foreign funding.
Soliman’s assets including money, bonds and real estate were frozen and her her name was placed on travel ban list due to the trial.
Earlier, a report issued by Egypt’s Central Bank said that Soliman received more than 50 million pounds as foreign illegal funding for her NGO.
