Yemeni Vice President and Prime Minister Khaled Bahah met late Saturday with UN Special Envoy for Yemen Ismail Ould Sheikh Ahmed at his residence in the Saudi capital Riyadh.
The Yemeni News Agency said the Yemeni vice-president asserted to the UN envoy that the government is seeking hard to find a political solution for the crisis in Yemen.
A number of ministers in the Yemeni government attended the meeting. They asserted to the UN envoy that the government is backing his efforts to remove the damage left by the ongoing war on the humanitarian, social and economic levels.
They demanded the UN to force the Houthi militas to halt war and withdraw from all citizens that have been stormed by force.
The Yemeni government also agreed in principle to start dialogue after viewing indications on good intention.
The UN envoy for his part asserted that dialogue is the only way to work out a solution and reiterated that the UN hoped to involve all parties in the Geneva meeting.
