Uruguayan Foreign Minister Rodolfo Nin Novoa will pay a visit to Egypt on November 28-30 within the framework of a tour in the region that will take him also to Palestine and Israel.
The visit comes at an invitation from Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry.
Novoa will start his tour with visiting Egypt where he will meet Shoukry as an appreciation to Egypt's pivotal role in the region, said Egypt's Ambassador to Uruguay Amr Mahmoud Abbas on Wednesday.
During the visit, Novoa will meet with Egyptian high-level officials and ink a cooperation agreement in the customs field which is a starting point for commercial cooperation between Egypt and one of the founding countries of the Mercosur.
