Turkish Foreign Ministry Deputy Secretary Umit Yalcin will visit Moscow for consultations on August 8, the Turkish Embassy told TASS.
"We confirm that Turkish Foreign Ministry Deputy Secretary Umit Yalcin will arrive in Moscow on August 8 to hold consultations with Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Bogdanov," a spokesman for the Turkish Embassy said according to TASS News Agency on Thursday.
Yalcin and Bogdanov are expected to discuss issues of normalizing bilateral relations and the situation in the Middle East.
Consultations at the level of deputy foreign ministers will be held ahead of the meeting at the highest level. Russian President Vladimir Putin and his Turkish counterpart Recep Tayyip Erdogan will hold talks on August 9 in St. Petersburg.
