The President of Palestine Mahmoud Abbas will embark on a visit to Lebanon on Thursday.
Sources in the Lebanese Presidential Palace told Qatar News Agency (QNA) correspondent in Beirut that the visit of the Palestinian President came to enhance relations between the two countries, and to congratulate General Michel Aoun on his election as President of the Republic of Lebanon.
During the visit, the Palestinian President is scheduled to meet with heads of the Republic, Government and Lebanese Representative Council to discuss the Palestinian issue and the situation of Palestinian refugees as well as issues of common concern.
President Mahmoud Abbas will also hold a series of meetings with a number of Palestinian leaders in Lebanon to be briefed on the Palestinians' situation.
