Jordan King Abdullah II met on Monday with Emir of Kuwait Sheikh Sabah Al Ahmad Al Jaber Al Sabah, who is currently visiting Jordan.
During the meeting, they discussed bilateral relations and ways of enhancing them in various fields, especially in political, economic and military affairs, Jordanian news agency Petra reported.
The two leaders emphasized the need for a common Arab and Muslim stance against terrorism and extremism, underlining the role of religious institutions in promoting an enlightened and intellectual approach, based on the principles of Islam and its tolerance and moderation.
Sheikh Sabah Al Ahmad stressed Kuwait's firm stance in supporting Jordan in its response to the threat of terrorism and extremism and in promoting peace, security and human values.
During the talks, the two leaders also reviewed latest developments in Syria and Iraq.
