The GCC Trade Ministers will hold the 53rd meeting of the trade cooperation committee at the GCC General Secretariat in the capital Riyadh on Thursday.
Assistant Secretary General for Economic and Development Affairs Abdullah bin Juma Al Shibli said that the Ministers will discuss means to promote trade exchange between the GCC countries and overcome obstacles to the flow of goods and services among the GCC countries, particularly the vision of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz of Saudi Arabia, which was adopted by the Supreme Council of the Gulf Cooperation Council at its 36th session in Riyadh.
Other topics on the meeting's agenda include the GCC unified competition law, a law on combating commercial fraud in the GCC States, and the recommendations of sub-committees and working groups assigned to study a number of trading issues, and other topics related to the economic integration of the GCC countries and the GCC joint economic action, he added.
The Ministers will be briefed on the current arrangements for holding the GCC 6th joint exhibition, due to be held in Riyadh from October 27 to 31.
