The Arab League will play host to an annual celebration of the "Arab Document Day" on Monday in coordination with the Arab regional branch of the International Council on Archives.
The celebration aims at highlighting the status of the Arab document, as the base for identity of nations, said a statement by the pan-Arab organization on Sunday.
A photo gallery and a scientific symposium, titled "Role of Documents in Boosting Arab Rights" will be held on the sidelines of celebrations.
The AL will honor figures and institutions that have made a clear contribution to the documentary sector.
Also, an annual meeting grouping officials of the AL and ARBICA will convene to probe the league's efforts to support the council in preserving documentary heritage and the AL Council's historic decision to adopt an Arab unified strategy for restoring looted Arab archives and the Arab charter for archives.
AL Secretary General Ahmed Abul Gheit, Culture Minister Helmy Namnam and a number of public figures will attend the celebrations.
The Arab Document Day is an annual celebration, held to highlight the status of the Arab document that keeps in its records Arab national rights.
