The Yemeni vice president and prime minister, Khaled Bahah, on Saturday met with Dr. Anwar bin Mohammed Gargash, Minister of State for Foreign Affairs of the UAE, at the headquarters of Yemen's interim government in the Saudi capital.
The two sides discussed the latest developments in Yemen and cooperation in the military, political and developmental spheres, the Saudi official news agency SPA reported.
The Yemeni vice president expressed his government's appreciation of the role being played by the UAE and other members of the Arab coalition in carrying out Operation Golden Arrow to liberate Aden city from rebel militia.
He noted the importance of the coming steps for preserving the victory achieved in Aden and launching humanitarian relief operations to treat the wounded, rehabilitate infrastructure and initiate reconstruction in various sectors.
Dr. Gargash expressed hope that security and stability would prevail soon in all Yemeni governorates.
He reiterated that the UAE continues to fully support the people of Yemen.
