Tunisian President Beji Caid Essebsi met on Monday with Hungarian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Peter Szijjarto, who is on a three-day visit to Tunisia.The meeting discussed means of enhancing relations between the two countries in different fields.
Tunisian TAP news agency said, "President Beji Caid Essebsi voiced hope to see Hungary contributes on the bilateral level and as part of the European Union to further support Tunisia during this delicate phase on the path to democratic building and the achievement of comprehensive of development." The Hungarian minister stressed the importance for the European Union to strengthen its support to Tunisia so as to achieve its democratic process and overcome the challenges including, in particular, fighting terrorism.Europe's interest is also to guarantee Tunisia's security and stability, he added.
