Tunisian President Beji Caid Essebsi on Thursday met a delegation from the African Court on Human and Peoples' Rights led by its president, Justice Sylvain Ore.
The meeting reviewed human rights in Africa and means of boosting cooperation between Tunisia and the African court.
The Tunisian president reiterated his country's keenness on enhancing cooperation with African countries and African Union institutions, particularly those associated with the protection of human rights, expressing Tunisia's readiness to deepen cooperation with the court so as to serve the issues of justice in the continent.
For his part, the president of the court highlighted Tunisia's keenness and commitment to promote the human rights system on the ground.
