Minister of Tourism Hisham Zaazou met on Saturday with a Mexican delegation that includes a number of officials and owners of travel agencies.
Earlier, the delegation left Luxor after a three-day visit within the Egyptian government’s efforts to attract more tourists to Egypt.
The delegation visited a number of tourist sites including Karnak and Luxor temples.
During the meeting, the minister welcomed the delegation and offered his condolences over the death and injury of a number of Mexican tourists last week, adding that the incident was extraordinary, pointing out that he will meet with Mexican ambassador to Egypt on Sunday.
He also hoped that the two countries will boost bilateral relations in tourism field and that the delegation will deliver Egyptians’ welcome to Mexican and Latin American tourists.
