Sudanese President Omar Hassan al Bashir left South Africa on Monday back home after taking part in the 25th African Union summit, Sudanese Information Minister Ahmed Belal Othman said.
He told MENA that Bashir and his accompanying delegation will arrive home later in the day and will be welcomed at Khartoum airport by Vice President Bakri Hassan Saleh.
Sudanese Foreign Minister Ibrahim Ghandour will hold a press conference later in the day to talk about the proceedings of the summit and circumstances of Pretoria Court's decision to arrest Bashir.
Acting upon the arrest warrant issued against Bashir by the International Criminal Court, Pretoria High Court ordered Bashir not to leave South Africa.
Bashir is wanted by the ICC for committing crimes against humanity in Darfur.
