Sudan's Foreign Minister Ibrahim Ghandour on Thursday discussed with Egyptian Ambassador in Khartoum Osama Shaltout means of enhancing cooperation between the two countries.
In a meeting held in Khartoum, Ghandour and Shaltout also discussed preparations for higher Sudanese-Egyptian presidential committee, to be held in Cairo.
During the meeting, the Sudanese top diplomat hailed as "profound" the relationship between Khartoum and Cairo.
He pointed out that opening commercial crossings between Sudan and Egypt would enhance the two countries relations.
Ghandour stressed that the two neighboring countries share the same views on regional issues of mutual concern, notably the crisis in South Sudan.
The Egyptian ambassador, for his part, congratulated Ghandour for assuming his new post.
