President Abdel Fattah El Sisi had a meeting on Tuesday with Bahraini Culture Minister Sheikha Mai bint Mohammed al Khalifa on boosting cultural cooperation and exchange between the two countries.
During the meeting, Sisi expressed his appreciation of deeply-rooted ties between Egypt and Bahrain at all levels, Presidential Spokesman Alaa Youssef said.
Sisi also hailed Bahrain's cultural openness and richness, saying he is looking forward to organizing cultural activities between the two countries to promote intercultural communication at the popular level, the spokesman added.
For her part, Sheikha Mai underscored time-honored ties between the two countries, saying Egypt is a beacon of culture for the Arab nation, the spokesman said.
She hoped to further promoting cultural cooperation between the two countries in the coming stage, the spokesman added.
Sisi arrived on Monday in Bahrain, the second leg of his Gulf tour that also took him to Kuwait.
