President Abdel Fattah El Sisi left here Tuesday for Moscow on an official three-day visit, marking his third visit to Russia since taking office .
He will be holding talks with Russian President Vladimir Putin, the fifth summit meeting between them, within the special relationship binding the two countries
Upon his arrival, he will head to the Russian Parliament, the Duma, for talks with its Chairman Sergey Narishkin to be followed by an expanded meeting grouping the Egyptian and Russian delegations.
Sisi is also scheduled for meetings with Russian Industry and Trade Minister Denis Mantourov and Russian Direct Investment Fund Chief Kirill Dmitriev to promote bilateral trade and economic ties, and enhance Russian investments in Egypt.
On his second day in Moscow, he will hold summit talks with Putin, to be followed by an expanded working luncheon hosted by the Russian president at the Kremlin in honor of the Egyptian president.
At the working luncheon, the Egyptian and Russian delegations are to probe ways of promoting bilateral ties, issues of mutual concern and cooperation of stances at the multinational and international agencies.
They are also to discuss promoting economic ties and attracting Russian investments to Egypt in light of the latest legislative and administrative procedures Egypt has applied to lure direct investments.
Sisi and Putin will later hold a press conference on the outcome of their summit talks.
Sisi will also be meeting with top Russian officials and CEOs of major Russian companies.
He will return to Cairo on Thursday.
