Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry received on Monday a thank-you message from UN Special Representative for Libya Bernardino León for Egypt's efforts in backing the talks to reach a political agreement to the Libyan crisis, which has recently been signed in Morocco.
In his message to Shoukry, Leon voiced appreciation of Egyptian efforts to achieve progress in clinching the agreement.
He said he is interested to gain more backing from Egypt in the coming phase which would need more work to put the agreement into effect.
The coming phase in Libya will witness suggesting names for the post of government head and other leading posts in order to allow the Libyan parliament to make a vote of confidence on the government.
The coming weeks will also see discussions on supplements to the political agreement, which will include security arrangements in Libya and other matters related to the future of Libya.
