Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry left Cairo Monday for Paris on a European tour meant to bolster Egypt's bilateral relations.
During the visit Shoukry will meet with his French counterpart Laurent Fabius to discuss regional issues of mutual concern, atop of which the Middle East peace process.
He will also review efforts to counter terrorism.
During his stay in the French capital, the Egyptian top diplomat will also attend the inauguration of an exhibition themed "Osiris: Mysteries of Submerged Egypt", which opens there on September 8.
The show features nearly 300 artifacts, most of them discovered in the underwater excavations of French marine archaeologist Frank Goddio.
After Paris, Shoukry will be heading for London, Britain, for talks with his British counterpart Philip Hammond.
They will be discussing the situation in Libya, Yemen, Iraq and Syria, plus the file of terrorism.
