Chairman of the Suez Canal Economic Zone (SCZone) Dr Ahmed Darwish met Monday with Alaa el Saqty, the head of the federation of associations of SME investors, to discuss the establishment of a complex of small and medium-sized enterprises in the economic zone.
An SCZone statement said Saqty reviewed details about the project, particularly the funding and deadline.
He said at least 60 feddans should be allocated for the complex-to-be, which will help produce what Egypt imports.
Darwish said the lot should be allocated for the federation inside the area designed for SMEs and in line with SCZone laws, the statement noted.
The SCZone pays big attention to small-sized projects to be implemented over an area of 400 feddans of the economic zone, Darwish added.
