HE the Prime Minister and Interior Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa Al-Thani has met with Minister of Justice of the Republic of Croatia Orsat Miljenic on the sidelines of the 13th United Nations Congress on Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice, currently held in Doha.
During the meeting, they reviewed relations of cooperation between the two countries and ways of developing and strengthening them, as well as to the most important topics on the agenda of the congress.
After that, HE the Prime Minister witnessed the signing of a draft Memorandum of Understanding (MoU)for cooperation in the legal field between the Ministry of Justice of the State of Qatar and the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Croatia.
The MoU was signed for the Qatari side by HE Minister of Justice Dr. Hassan bin Lahdan Al Mohannadi and for the Croatian side by Minister of Justice of Croatia Orsat Miljenic.
The MoU aims at strengthening and improving labor regulations and the level of performance by encouraging the two sides to hold and organise conferences, seminars and joint workshops on various issues relating to the law and its implementations, and by exchanging invitations for professional seminars and conferences.
It also aims at exchanging releases, legal journals, publications, researches and visits of delegations between the two countries to find out the work systems, visions and missions of the various departments in each country which relates in particular to develop the work of those departments.
