Prime Minister of Palestine Rami Hamdallah met here today with State Minister for Foreign Affairs Nobuo Kishi.They discussed enhancing bilateral cooperation in all fields. They also discussed the latest political developments. Al Hamdallah renewed the Palestinian leadership's commitment to a two-state solution and called on Japan to pressure Israel into ending its violations of Palestinians' rights, particularly the expansion in illegal settlements.
The Prime Minister also provided the Japanese official with an update on the strike made by the families of Palestinian detainees in Israeli prison demanding an improvement to their conditions. Hamdallah said that the demands come in light Israel's violation of the Palestinian rights according to international conventions and international law.
