President of the Republic, Field Marshal Omer Al-Bashir, Sunday received at the Guest House the Arab League's Assistant Secretary General and supervisor of the proposed Conference for Rehabilitation and Development in Sudan, Dr. Kamal Hassan Ali, in presence of the Minister of Welfare and Social Security, Mashaer Al-Dawalab.
In a press statement, Dr. Ali said that he conveyed to President Al-Bashir the greetings of the Arab League's Secretary General, indicating that he is visiting Sudan in the context of implementation of the decisions of the Arab League's summits in Nouakchott and Riyadh on holding the Conference for Rehabilitation and Development in Sudan and the initiative of the President of the Republic on Arab food security.
Dr. Ali said that he met in Khartoum with the executive committees of the initiative of the President of the Republic and the Conference on Rehabilitation and Development in Sudan and discussed the arrangements for implementing the initiative and convening the conference.
He announced that the conference is due to be held in the last quarter of the current year 2017.
