His Highness Sayyid Asa’ad bin Tariq bin Taimour Al Said, Deputy Prime Minister for International Relations and Cooperation Affairs and Personal Representative of His Majesty the Sultan yesterday met with Antonio Guterres, Secretary General of the United Nations (UN) on the sidelines of the 28th Arab Summit currently being held at the Dead Sea in Jordan.
Sayyid Asa’ad reviewed ties of cooperation with the UN and all international and regional organisations, as well as the Sultanate’s international relations that aim at achieving security and stability.
On his turn, the UN Secretary General hailed the efforts being exerted by the Sultanate under the leadership of His Majesty Sultan Qaboos Bin Said to support international stability, peace and security.
The meeting also discussed developments of several issues of common concern.
The meeting was attended by Yousuf bin Alawi bin Abdullah, Minister Responsible for Foreign Affairs, Dr. Fu’ad bin Ja’afar Al Sagwani, Minister of Agriculture and Fisheries and Khamis bin Mohammed Al Farsi, Sultanate’s Ambassador to the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.
