Oil Minister Shaikh Mohammed bin Khalifa Al Khalifa met with Malaysian Minister of Economic Planning Abdul Rahman Dahlan, within the framework of the official visit of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa to Malaysia heading a high-profile delegation.
The two ministers discussed bilateral cooperation in the economic field, particularly in the oil and gas sector. The oil Minister stressed the large areas for economic and oil cooperation between Bahrain and Malaysia mainly in light of growing cooperation between both countries.
A number of agreements and memoranda of understanding were signed between both countries, including mainly a memo on oil cooperation between Bahrain Oil and Gas Holding Company and Malaysian PETRONAS company.
