His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, on Monday held talks with Prince Salman Bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Bahrain’s Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and first Deputy Prime Minister, on bilateral relations and ways to strengthen them.
The two leaders discussed the current developments in the region, with a focus on issues related to GCC’s security and stability. Shaikh Mohammad praised the historically deep-rooted relations binding the UAE and Bahrain and expressed his pride in the strong and deeply fraternal relations between the two countries.
The talks also touched on ways to develop bilateral relations and avenues of cooperation between the two countries in the light of their historical relations based on strong brotherly bonds, mutual understanding and joint action.
“GCC’s security is indivisible and that the UAE’s security is that of Bahrain. We press ahead with a joint drive towards development and prosperity in all GCC states to set a positive and enlightening example in a region suffering from chaos and violence,” Shaikh Mohammad said.
He emphasised that all foreign plots and malicious designs targeting Bahrain’s leadership and people would fail miserably thanks to the awareness and vigilance of its people and leadership under King Hamad Bin Eisa Al Khalifa. Shaikh Mohammad underlined the solidarity of the GCC, which realises that they share one destiny, protected by the common will of its peoples who stand steadfast in the face of anyone who tries to tamper with the GCC’s security
The two leaders emphasised the importance of strengthening consultation and coordination between the two countries within the framework of the GCC drive to deal with different challenges facing the Gulf region and achieve progress and prosperity for the peoples of the GCC nations.
Shaikh Mohammad and Prince Salman discussed the latest Arab, regional and international developments with emphasis on the importance of consultation and coordination between the UAE and Bahrain.
They exchanged views about the current situation and the latest developments in both the regional and international arenas as well as a number of issues of mutual concern.
Prince Salman reaffirmed the UAE’s stature and crucial role in supporting the Gulf Cooperation Council, with its stands constituting a source of pride to Bahrain and the rest of GCC countries.
He underscored that Bahrain-UAE relations are witnessing continuous growth thanks to great attention given by President His Highness Shaikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan and the Bahrain King as reflected by their shared stances on different issues and the UAE’s steadfast support to Bahrain and its people across various stages
