Labour and Social Development Minister, Jameel bin Mohammed Ali Humaidan, met here yesterday the Indian Ambassador to Bahrain, Alok Kumar Sinha.
They reviewed the Bahraini-Indian relations in various fields, especially regarding labour issues and social protection.
The minister praised the contributions of the expatriate communities, especially the Indian one, to Bahrain’s progress, affirming the Labour and Social Development Ministry’s readiness to exert all efforts aimed at consolidating bilateral cooperation programmes.
Ambassador Sinha lauded the current level of cooperation between the two countries, praising in this regard, the facilities and social protection provided by Bahrain to the Indian expatriate workers, and its keenness on preserving their rights.
He also highlighted his country’s desire to bolster its relations with Bahrain in various fields, particularly human development.
