Saudi King Salman arrived in Moscow on Wednesday for a state visit, Russian television footage showed.
The Rossiya-24 channel and Ruptly TV showed KIng Salman’s Saudia plane arriving at Vnukovo airport outside the Russian capital.
The historic visit is the first to Russia by a Saudi monarch. The king is leading a high-level delegation of government and private-sector figures.
As part of the four-day trip, the king is to meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin for talks expected to focus on the global oil market and the Syrian crisis.
Saudi officials earlier said the highlight of the visit will be the Saudi-Russian Business Investment Forum to be held in Moscow under the theme: Investment, Toward Building a Strong Partnership. The forum will be officially opened by Russia’s Minister of Energy, Alexander Novak.
The visit will witness a series of joint economic functions that will bring together 200 representatives of Saudi and Russian companies to promote commercial partnerships and relations.
A key part of King Salman’s delegation is Saudi Aramco, which will participate in a range of high-level engagements and activities including an exhibit throughout the royal visit.
