Jordanian Prime Minister Hani Mulki on Thursday met Michael Bogdanov, Russian deputy foreign minister and Russian president's special envoy to the Middle East, and discussed bilateral relations and the latest regional developments, Jordanian news agency Petra reported.
They touched on the repercussions of the Syrian crisis on Jordan, which hosts more than 1.3 million Syrian refugees, posing huge pressures on the kingdom's infrastructure, limited resources and services presented to citizens.
The Jordanian prime minister reiterated his country's stance that calls for a political solution to the Syrian crisis, while exerting efforts to solve the broader Middle Eastern problems and crises.
