During a meeting with Italy's Ambassador to Egypt Maurizio Massari, Zend pointed out to constant consultations between the two countries in supporting peace and security in the region and confronting terror.
The minister also expressed Egypt's deep appreciation of the role played by Italy in supporting the June 30 revolution and its respect of the Egyptian people's will.
He pointed out to constant cooperation between the two countries in the judiciary and legal fields.
The Italian diplomat stressed his country's keenness on promoting Italian tourism to Egypt, pointing out to the flocking of Italian tourists to Egyptian tourist destinations in general and Sharm El Sheikh in particular without being affected by the Russian plane crash.
He said he will head for Sharm El Sheikh soon accompanied by a group of ambassadors in Cairo to send a message to the world that Egypt is secure.
