Iraqi Foreign Minister Ibrahim Al-Jaafari met today with Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Murteza Sarmadi to discuss bilateral relations and means of bolstering them.
During meeting, they also reviewed the situation in the region and the latest development of dialogues currently under way between the UN Security Council Permanent Member States on Tehran's nuclear programme.
Al-Jaafari praised the support Iran provides to Iraq in its war against Daesh, commending the efforts made by friendly countries in these exceptional circumstances.
For his part, Sarmadi confirmed his country's continued support to Iraq until the elimination of Daesh and he attainment of security and peace attained in the country.
