H.H. Sheikh Hamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chief of the Abu Dhabi Crown Prince's Court, has met with Kwon Young-jin, Mayor of the South Korean city of Daegu, on the sidelines of the 7th World Water Forum, which is being hosted in the city.
During the meeting, the two sides discussed friendly and cooperative relations between the UAE and South Korea and ways of enhancing them especially in the developmental, social, cultural, educational, industrial and investment fields.
Sheikh Hamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, expressed his delight in visiting the city of Daegu, including witnessing a renaissance of industrial, scientific, cultural and historical landmarks. He highlighted the importance of strengthening cooperation between the two sides to take advantage of the resources available and mutual experiences in city development.
Sheikh Hamed praised Daegu's good organisation of the seventh World Water Forum and the successful management of its activities, and expressed his hope for international efforts to take effective action in addressing the challenges of water scarcity and achieve global water security.
The Mayor of Daegu city welcomed Sheikh Hamed bin Zayed and the UAE delegation to the forum, commending the UAE's projects and initiatives offered in the forum, and its fruitful cooperation with international bodies and institutions in the search for suitable alternatives for water and energy conservation through innovations and new technologies.
