Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry and US Secretary of State John Kerry discussed in Washington ways of bolstering bilateral relations in all fields, spokesman for the Foreign Ministry Badr Abdel Aati said on Friday.
The two top diplomats stressed the importance of holding a strategic dialogue between their countries.
"The situation in Libya, Yemen, Syria and Iraq was probed as well," Abdel Aati said, adding that the two top diplomats tackled also an Arab League (AL) draft resolution on the situation in Libya and efforts exerted to face terrorism.
Shoukry briefed Kerry on Egypt's preparations for an economic conference in March, Abdel Aati added.
