Interior Minister Magdy Abdel Ghaffar met on Wednesday with his Jordanian counterpart Hussein Hazza in the Algerian capital.
The meeting was held on the sidelines of the 32nd session of the Council of Arab Ministers of Interior, now held in Algiers.
The two ministers discussed way of cementing security cooperation between the two states.
Abdel Ghaffar hailed Jordan's supportive stance towards Egypt during the past period.
Hazza, for his part, stressed that Jordan will always remain a strong supporter for Egypt in its war against terrorism and crime.
He also praised sacrifices made by the Egyptian policemen to provide security across Egypt.
