His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister received Rt-Rev. Thomas Kanjirappallil Oommen, the Bishop of Madhaya Kerala Diocese of the Church of South India at Gudaibiya Palace today.
During the meeting, the Crown Prince highlighted Bahrain’s longstanding success in promoting and fostering principles of coexistence and multiculturalism, remarking that these values represent an important feature of Bahrain’s national identity.
The Crown Prince also highlighted that His Majesty King Hamad continues to play a crucial role in upholding these values, which directly support the nation’s reputation for openness and diversity across the region and worldwide.
The Crown Prince went on to recognise the steady growth of Bahrain-India ties, which he said are underpinned by a long history of close cooperation. His Royal Highness emphasised the positive role that Indian citizens continue to play in Bahrain’s development.
For his part, Rt-Rev. Thomas Kanjirappallil Oommen expressed his pleasure at the opportunity to meet His Royal Highness, and praised Bahrain’s commitment to the principles and values of coexistence and multiculturalism.
