Foreign Minister Shaikh Khalid bin Ahmed bin Mohammed Al-Khalifa attended a working dinner hosted by French Foreign Minister Laurent Fabius in Paris in honour of the GCC foreign ministers.
The minister said that the session builds on the 15th GCC Consultative Summit, which was held in Riyadh last month (May) in the presence of French President Francois Hollande.
"The meeting comes in the framework of continuous consultation between the GCC member states and France to consolidate relations and step up coordination towards regional issues so as to confront challenges, bolster security and stability and achieve joint interests", he said.
He said that the meeting was fruitful and positive as the two sides expressed convergent views regarding ways of strengthening relations and confronting regional challenges.
