Assistant Foreign Minister Abdullah bin Faisal bin Jabr Al Dossari today received a delegation from the United States Commission on International Religious Freedom led by Dwight Bashir.
The Assistant Foreign Minister stressed that the Kingdom of Bahrain is keen to implement the directives and initiatives of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa in the field of religious freedom, dialogue and coexistence, to achieve world peace and to reject extremism and hatred.
The Assistant Foreign Minister said that the Kingdom of Bahrain is continuing the approach it has adopted since it was founded as a civil state, which is safeguarding freedoms and religious rituals in its tolerant society that includes various religions and sects. He added that the Kingdom of Bahrain Declaration, the King Hamad Global Center for Inter-Faith Dialogue and Peaceful Coexistence in Los Angeles, California, and the establishment of the King Hamad Chair for peaceful coexistence at La Sapienza University of Rome, proves the Kingdom’s awareness of the importance of tolerance in establishing peaceful societies that reject extremism and hatred.
