Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance, Mohammad Hosseini, says since its establishment, the UNESCO has been expected to serve as hub of growing solidarity, cooperation and coordination among different nations and cultures. Addressing the 36th UNESCO meeting in the UN permanent headquarters in Paris, Hosseini said now after 60 years from the UNESCO establishment, the time has come to survey the strong and weak points of the collection, preparing the ground for elevation of such a big global institution. Elsewhere in his address, the minister congratulated the UNESCO and the audience on big victories of the Tunisian, Egyptian and Libyan nations in light of Islamic awakening, hoping that they would be able to decide their fate free from foreign intervention, thus presenting a new model of democracy based on their beliefs.
